They even went a step further and put together both snack and meal packs for those on the go.

Go Picnic comes to our rescue with nutritionally dense meals and snacks that will sustain anyone in need of protein and carbs, when safe food options are not available. (more…)

By Kimberly Bouldin

I have tasted some of Joan's GF Great Bakes products and reviewed them a while back, but I hadn't had the chance to sample the English muffin. That was all I needed to hear. I usually buy Trader Joe's French rolls or Kinnikinnick's English Muffins, as they are much less expensive. (more…)

I kept hearing numerous accolades about Udi's Bakery in Denver, CO and their gluten-free foods. I would hear of people placing large orders with them and claiming their bread was the best of the gluten-free breads. So, I had to try this myself to see if the bread lived up to the hype.

UdiThankfully, I recently discovered they carry Udi's at Woodman's, who have an extremely large gluten-free section, and decided to try a loaf. Udi's bread is handcrafted in their dedicated gluten-free facility in Denver, CO, their gluten-free foods are also dairy-, soy-, and nut-free. (more…)

In the world of gluten free flours, there are so many choices that it can be hard to choose which one is best for you and your family. You could literally use a different flour for each recipe and achieve different results every time. After studying the nutritional benefits of a lot of the products out there, I came to the conclusion that to replace the benefits of whole wheat you need to use a whole grain of another kind.

Sorghum, Buckwheat and Quinoa are all good substitutes. They offer the high fiber and protein that our bodies need. Sometimes, depending on the recipe, these flours offer the nutrition at the expense of flavor and texture.

marissa_carter_Coconut_Palm_2_Thanks to Tropical Traditions, I have discovered a new flour that offers the fiber and protein needed, without sacrificing taste. I discovered by trying Tropical Traditions Coconut Flour that it added a whole new flavor dimension and texture to my recipes. It isn’t a whole grain, but it is a whole food, which means that the nutritional standards are still met. (more…)
